The Greater Amman Municipality declared a medium-level state of emergency starting Friday morning in preparation for the expected weather conditions. It activated the Tlaa Al-Ali Emergency Center and support centers across its 22 districts, and prepared field teams working in three shifts, along with pumps and water-extraction equipment. It also stepped up the cleaning of storm drains. The municipality urged residents to exercise caution, stay away from wadis and low-lying areas, avoid dumping waste indiscriminately, and not connect rooftop downspouts to the sewage network.
