Public, trade union and media groups are calling for Second Lieutenant Firas Al-Ananazeh to be awarded the First-Class Medal of Courage and Bravery and promoted exceptionally to the rank of major, in recognition of his role in neutralizing the perpetrator of the terrorist attack on Medina Street in Amman. They said Al-Ananazeh confronted and subdued the attacker despite being wounded in the face, preventing him from carrying out his plan or seizing Corporal Jawad Al-Salaytah’s weapon.
