The Meteorological Department expected the effects of the low-pressure system to peak on Saturday, bringing heavy rain in short bursts, accompanied by thunder and hail, to the northern and central parts of the Kingdom and some southwestern areas. Rain began on Friday in Irbid, Ajloun, Jerash, Balqa, and northern Madaba. Moderate to heavy rainfall also affected Karak, Tafileh, and parts of western Amman. Rain is expected to continue Saturday night, before easing on Sunday to light showers in some northern and central areas. Conditions will then gradually stabilize from around midday or afternoon on Sunday.
