US Migration to Israel
Israeli Consul General in New York Ofir Akunis predicted a large wave of American Jewish immigration to Israel and urged the next government to prepare to receive them, linking it to Democratic Party gains in the midterm elections. His remarks came after a poll found that 72% of American Jews voted for Democrats—the same share recorded in the 2024 election—but he offered no evidence or estimates of the potential scale of the migration or its direct connection to the results.
