Explosions East of Qeshm
Iranian News Agency reported Saturday evening that two explosions had occurred east of Qeshm Island in Hormozgan Province, southern Iran. Fars News Agency also reported that explosions had been heard on Qeshm and in the city of Jask, without specifying their nature or source. The reports came after the Iranian army announced that it had shot down a U.S. MQ-9 drone over Qeshm. Some reports suggested the explosions may have been warning shots fired toward ships, though this was not confirmed.
