At noon on Sunday, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship held a live electronic draw to select those assigned to national service in 2027 from among men born in 2008. The draw used a neutral statistical selection process and was conducted in coordination with the Armed Forces and the Civil Status and Passports Department. A total of 9,000 young men were selected—50% more than last year—divided into three cohorts of 3,000 each. The service period will last three months. Those selected will be notified through official channels; their names will not be published in the media.
