Alert at Ministry of Agriculture: Imminent Summer Threat Risks Destroying Forests

The article discusses the warnings and measures taken by the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture to confront the threat of forest fires this summer. It indicates that rising temperatures, along with the removal of infected trees, increase the likelihood of fires, especially given the presence of dead and dry trees. Therefore, the ministry has issued decisions to remove dried-out trees, including pine forests, while intensifying monitoring and warnings to prevent arson and reduce the risk of spread. The program also aims to protect the ecological balance and ensure the sustainability of natural resources amid changing climate conditions.
