Iran escalates attacks to include Kuwait and Iraqi Kurdistan
The region experienced escalating military tensions throughout Friday, as Iran conducted simultaneous attacks on Kuwait and Iraqi Kurdistan. In Kurdistan, authorities intercepted eight drones, which caused no injuries or damage, while in Kuwait, two fires resulting from Iranian strikes were contained without any casualties. Explosive blasts were also heard in Bandar Abbas, Iran, with reports indicating that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy targeted a Thai-flagged vessel attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz. The confrontation between Iran and the United States is intensifying, with ongoing attacks and missile launches, amid concerns of a potential full-scale military escalation in the area.
