Lebanon and Israel Disagree on Security Operations
Channel 12 Israeli TV indicates that Israel will not relinquish additional areas in the southern Lebanese security zone before the upcoming round of talks with Lebanon in Rome. The emphasis is on the necessity of maintaining freedom of military action. Israel has also requested that its army retains the option to re-enter the area to ensure its security from Hezbollah elements and infrastructure after any temporary withdrawal.
