Malta Lebanon Sports Tournament Ends
The fourth edition of the Malta Lebanon Sports Organization program concluded at the grounds of Our Lady of the Audience School in Bashoura. The event saw the participation of around 500 children aged between 6 and 15 years from various regions, including health centers and displacement zones. Despite exceptional circumstances that led to the absence of southern centers, the initiative achieved widespread success in supporting children through organizing football and basketball competitions, aimed at enhancing their physical and social skills, as well as instilling values of cooperation and sportsmanship. The event was attended by prominent figures, including Lebanon’s First Lady, Nanette Aoun, who emphasized the importance of humanitarian work and the role of students in building Lebanon’s future. Over 1,000 people participated, including parents, coaches, and volunteers. Gratitude was expressed to supporting entities, most notably the Monaco Prince’s Office and the German Foreign Ministry. The program aims to expand participation of centers in the next edition in 2027, with a focus on southern regions.
