Aoun Sends Critical Message
Lebanese Prime Minister Nawar Salameh expressed his strong anger towards President Joseph Aoun after the latter filed an appeal before the Constitutional Council against the law on banking sector reform and reorganization. This comes amid a deterioration in relations as the government endeavors to implement financial reforms in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund. Salameh considered that the appeal aims to undermine his efforts and weaken his position, especially following his meeting with the IMF official in Washington.
