Civil Defense recovers 7 bodies after 21 months in Gaza
After approximately 21 months since the targeting, Civil Defense teams in the Gaza Strip managed to recover the bodies of 7 martyrs from the home of the Sheikh Ali family in the central Gaza. They were killed when the house was hit in a bombing on December 12, 2024. The delayed retrieval highlights the scale of the tragedy resulting from the Israeli occupation's war on Gaza, which has led to the destruction of homes and facilities, and the continued presence of bodies beneath the rubble. Rescue teams face difficulties reaching the site due to building collapses and accumulated debris. The recovered bodies include children, women, and elderly men, reflecting the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in the area.
