Zidane's lineup and France's chances without Mbappé
Zinedine Zidane excluded French national team star Kylian Mbappé from the starting lineup for the match against Italy, following an injury he sustained during the current camp. This decision comes at a time when all eyes are on Zidane’s first official appearance as France’s coach at the Stade de France, in a crucial match to secure a strong start and serve as a true test of his capabilities. The French team is riding high spirits after a clean-sheet victory over Turkey and Belgium, and Zidane is relying on a plan centered around quick attacking play, involving Ousmane Dembélé alongside young players like Michael Olise and Deme Doi, with Adrien Rabiot and Rayan Cherki operating in midfield. Mbappé’s absence is a significant emotional and technical blow, but Zidane is focused on delivering a diverse offensive performance despite his absence, aiming for a victory to boost public confidence and to kick off a successful new era for the French national team.
