Flood Impact on Palestinians
Three years after the "Flood" operation, the balance of power in the region has changed dramatically. Israel has become the most prominent force in the Middle East, with influence extending into Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran, and military control over 70% of Gaza's territory. The operation also solidified the separation between the West Bank and Gaza, with Israel imposing its guardianship over the latter and transforming it into an uninhabitable area, while fully controlling life in the West Bank. Israel works to obstruct the establishment of an independent Palestinian entity through settlements and military checkpoints. This operation marks the peak of the collapse of the Palestinian project, after Israel withdrew Gaza from the political equation and weakened the resistance movement. Despite widespread international sympathy for the Palestinians, this does not diminish the severity of the catastrophe caused by Israeli forces following the "Flood."
