Gold and oil prices rising
Gold prices rose significantly today, amid expectations that the Federal Reserve may delay raising interest rates due to weak economic data, increasing the appeal of non-yielding gold. Spot gold prices increased by 0.4% to $4,158.17 per ounce, while December futures jumped by 0.6% to $4,186.40. In contrast, oil prices declined due to rising crude exports from the Middle East and continued stock drawdowns among G7 nations, with Brent crude falling by 0.65% to $101.59 per barrel, and West Texas Intermediate dropping by 1.03% to $90.12, despite concerns over potential damage to the Gulf's oil infrastructure.
