Yemeni forces target Houthi positions in Dhu Bob
A report from Reuters states that Yemeni government forces are attacking Houthi positions in the’d Bab district overlooking the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, as part of a broad military campaign aimed at regaining control of areas held by the Iran-backed Yemeni group. Since the Houthis took control of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and the northern coast last month, their strategic influence over international shipping routes has increased, raising international concerns about maritime security. In response, the Yemeni government is preparing to launch military operations and mobilize national forces to confront the Houthis in key areas.
