Obstacles delaying Qulay’at Airport opening
The article discusses the Lebanese government's efforts to reactivate Qulaylat Airport, noting that the process requires completing security and legal aspects before the final opening. Minister Fayez Rasmany explains that the airport is in the final stages of preparation and aims to begin operations before the end of the year, but it will not be inaugurated until full readiness is confirmed. Sources also indicate that the postponement is due to legal and administrative procedures, such as transferring ownership from the army to civil aviation, as well as delays caused by weather conditions, with practical tests being conducted on aircraft to ensure the runway's readiness.
