U.S. State Department: "The Party" fabricates funds
The article discusses the escalation of military and political tensions in Lebanon, with a focus on increasing U.S. pressure to fund Hezbollah and the imposition of sanctions. U.S. officials denied the existence of $200 million from Tehran to support the group, emphasizing that such funds are not available and that Hezbollah is suffering from financial and economic setbacks. The article also explores the possibility of Israel launching a large-scale military operation in Lebanon in the coming weeks, considering Israeli electoral calculations amidst a worsening economic situation, the high costs of the electricity crisis, and the challenges of rebuilding Lebanon. It underscores the need to restore Lebanese sovereignty and reduce Iranian influence in the country.
