Kim Yo-jung calls for Seoul's respect
Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korea's leader, confirmed that restoring relations between the North and South requires demonstrating "the utmost respect" towards Pyongyang, in response to recent tensions and demands for an apology from the North. This came after North Korea officially denied involvement in a landmine explosion inside the demilitarized zone that injured three soldiers, and a joint investigation concluded that two mines had been planted by North Korean soldiers a year earlier. Despite South Korea’s president calling for dialogue, Kim emphasized that achieving reconciliation requires considering the other side's feelings and showing sincerity and respect, amid escalating tensions resulting from the mine incident.
