Ramich corridor at risk after UNIFIL
The article discusses the threat facing humanitarian corridors in South Lebanon following the departure of UNIFIL forces, especially in the town of Rmeish and the surrounding areas. Locals are concerned about their isolation and the difficulty of accessing aid and essential services due to ongoing Israeli measures and the international community’s lack of effective intervention. Military and religious sources warn of a deterioration in the humanitarian situation and increased pressure on the population as the deadline for UNIFIL's mission approaches. There is ongoing debate about the possibility of tightening restrictions on these areas and obstructing the passage of relief materials, which could heighten the risk of a blockade on the Christian towns. Amidst international and local calls, there is a strong emphasis on ensuring the continued flow of aid and the opening of safe corridors.
