China to restart fuel exports in October
Commercial sources announced that China will resume exporting refined fuels in October after a brief pause during the Golden Week holiday, in an effort to help alleviate the global fuel supply shortage. China has agreed to export approximately 3.7 million tons of diesel, gasoline, and jet fuel this month, following export restrictions imposed in March to protect the domestic market amid oil disruptions and the Iran conflict. The sources confirmed that China has eased its quota-based export restrictions that it had been following since July, boosting expectations for improved global supply.
