Trump and Putin sign diesel deal
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he had successful discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin resulting in an agreement to supply millions of tons of diesel fuel to global markets, which will boost supply and quickly reduce prices. He stated that Russia will begin supplying 300,000 tons of diesel, followed by additional amounts reaching up to 3 million tons in the near future, leading to lower fuel costs for Americans—especially farmers and truck drivers. Trump also affirmed that Iran will not acquire nuclear weapons, though he did not provide further details about the mechanisms for implementing the agreements.
