Washington urges Hezbollah disarmament
The U.S. State Department denied reports of the arrival of 200 million dollars from Iran to Hezbollah, confirming that it has cut off Tehran's sources of funding and worked to dry up its financial resources. Washington has accused Hezbollah of pushing Lebanon into conflict and has called on the group to disarm and sever its ties with the Iranian regime. It also announced that it is working with international partners to mobilize billions of dollars for the reconstruction of Lebanon and to support its government, with the aim of cutting off any remaining sources of funding for the Iranian regime and isolating it in the region.
