Iran retains missile and drone secrets despite US claims
The report relies on intelligence assessments confirming that Iran, despite previous American and Israeli strikes targeting its military capabilities, still maintains a significant stockpile of ballistic missiles and drones, along with factories capable of rapid re-production. According to Israeli estimates, Iran possessed around 2,500 missiles before the war, and retained about 75% of that stock after the attacks, though the current size of the stockpile and its potential for replenishment remain uncertain. While the White House has dismissed these assessments, asserting that U.S. operations have fully destroyed Iran's military capabilities, Western estimates accuse Iran and Russia of expanding their arsenals. Meanwhile, attacks on ships near the Strait of Hormuz have increased, and oil prices have surpassed $100 per barrel. Iran is currently relying on "asymmetric warfare" techniques to compensate for the gap in its military capacity, amid ongoing tensions and stalled negotiations between Washington and Tehran.
