Syria Seizes 100,000 Captagon Pills at Border
The Syrian Drug Enforcement Administration, in cooperation with K9 units, successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle over 100,000 captagon pills, which were hidden inside a spare tire of a refrigerated truck heading to Saudi Arabia through the Nasib border crossing. The operation resulted in the seizure of the shipment, the arrest of those involved, and the confiscation of the illegal substances. The detained individual was handed over to the relevant authorities for legal procedures. This operation is part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to dismantle drug trafficking networks, as they have previously dismantled a network in Deir ez-Zor and Al-Hasakah, arresting its leader and seizing large quantities of crystal meth (ICE).
