Yemen Warns of Escalation Without Saudi Ends
The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that their military response to the Saudi regime will be based on the principle of reciprocity. They pointed out that ongoing Saudi aggression and interference in Yemen may lead to greater escalation, warning of strategic damages to the kingdom and the suffering of Yemenis, including martyrs, wounded, and the destruction of infrastructure. They also noted that Yemen's demands to lift the siege and halt airstrikes on Sanaa Airport have gone unanswered for 12 years, and that Saudi military adventures will only increase their damages. The ministry emphasized the need for coordination with airlines. Additionally, they clarified that turning the Bab al-Mandab Strait into a confrontation zone reveals Saudi intentions, and called for lifting the siege to be considered a less costly option for the kingdom.
