Saudi targets Houthis in Taiz amid Yemen-Saudi pledge
Recently, the Yemeni fronts have witnessed increased military and operational escalation. Saudi forces conducted a series of airstrikes targeting positions and gatherings of the Houthi militias in Taiz, targeting military vehicles and equipment across several fronts, resulting in deaths and injuries among the Houthis. This was accompanied by fierce clashes between Yemeni forces and the Houthi militias, which made advances in the Al-Syayhi front with the aim of cutting off the Wadi Al-Dabab road, the main artery of the besieged city of Taiz. These developments are part of a military escalation linked to ongoing Houthi attacks and the decisive responses from Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Ministry of Defense described the attack on King Khalid International Airport as a war crime and promised a firm response in accordance with international law. Yemeni and Saudi officials reaffirmed their commitment to continue military operations to restore state institutions and eliminate the Houthi threat.
