Autumn Rains Affect Damaged Homes in South Beirut
The article discusses the impact of recent rains on residents of southern Beirut suburb, where war-related damages have led to cracks, shattered glass, and damaged entrances, allowing water and air to seep into homes and shops. Some residents have repaired their houses at their own expense, while others are unable to do so due to economic difficulties and high costs. The rains have prompted some families to carry out emergency repairs to prevent further damage, as the condition of the buildings continues to worsen and the ability to fully restore them diminishes. This leaves many homes and shops vulnerable to leaks and weather-related issues.
