My Center Launches New Phase in Fly Dubai Co-pilot Case
The Islamic Center in Melbourne, Australia, has denied any direct connection to the suspect in the Omani pilot assistant case, who was detained in the UAE on charges of attempting to assault the pilot during a flight to Israel, according to an official statement. UAE investigations indicated that the suspect began to radicalize during his studies in Australia in 2017 and became acquainted with the organization "My Center," managed by a Lebanese individual known as Abu Hamza. However, the center and Abu Hamza both deny any criminal or direct involvement in the case. The suspect previously studied as a student in New Zealand, and authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances and motives of the incident, emphasizing that the center is not currently under any criminal charges.
