Nepal Floods Seek Missing Persons
A report on the devastating flood that swept through Gorkha in Nepal, causing the destruction of over 200 homes and five bridges along the Bagmati River. No confirmed deaths have been recorded so far, but rescue teams managed to save 95 people, including nine foreigners, with five individuals still reported missing in the area. The flood was caused by a landslide that blocked the river's flow, resulting in a powerful surge of water downstream. Efforts are ongoing to restore lives and mitigate risks, with authorities working to strengthen early warning systems to prevent future disasters.
