Has the Houthi challenge failed
The article addresses the war strategies employed by the Houthis in Yemen amid the decline of their internal frontlines, making the operation "Yemen Dawn" the most anticipated and delayed. It explains that the Houthis prefer to transfer part of their conflict outside the borders, benefiting from an Iranian approach that seeks to expand the scope of the conflict to increase the costs of escalation, such as targeting airports and oil facilities, with the aim of undermining their internal systems and reducing the gains of the Saudi-Yemeni coalition. The article emphasizes that Saudi Arabia is handling the situation with patience and internal fortification, increasing its defensive support through the Mecca Alliance to hinder the Houthis’ ability to export crises. This approach weakens the prospects of the Houthis succeeding in imposing a military victory at the expense of both the Saudi and Yemeni internal situations.
