Justice Minister Affirms Investigation of Hezbollah Explosives Will Proceed
The Lebanese Minister of Justice, Adel Nassar, affirmed that the judiciary will remain independent and that no one will interfere in the investigations regarding the transfer of explosives, which Hezbollah was transporting. He explained that the explosive materials were moved from Baalbek to the southern suburb, and that storing them in a populated area constitutes a crime warranting prosecution. He stated that investigations will continue to determine the source and the recipient party. He expressed the possibility that the explosives are intended for internal use or to create pretexts for new conflicts, considering that Lebanon can no longer bear any military actions and emphasizing the need to keep weapons solely in the hands of the state.
