Lebanese Forces Extend Foreign Worker Legalization Deadline

Minister of Labor Mohamed Haidar issued a decision to extend the deadline for rectifying the status of violators of the decree regulating the employment of foreigners until December 31, 2026. The aim is to allow illegal foreign workers to correct their status, especially given the continued demand from various economic sectors. Individuals can submit their applications in person or via LibanPost during the extension period. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Labor continues conducting inspection campaigns on institutions to ensure compliance, issuing warnings to violators, and requiring violations to be corrected within 15 days.
