Hezbollah Hinders Lebanon Peace
The U.S. State Department has affirmed that Hezbollah is hindering peace and stability in Lebanon, accusing it of pushing Lebanon toward conflict and obstructing reconstruction efforts in southern Lebanon. Washington revealed that it has engaged in talks with its Gulf and European partners to secure billions of dollars to support reconstruction, emphasizing significant progress in implementing mechanisms for conflict resolution, security assistance, and humanitarian aid. It was also confirmed that U.S. measures against the party will continue, with Washington remaining firm on its demand that weapons be confined to official institutions, while considering the presence of Hezbollah a barrier to achieving peace and development in Lebanon.
