Tampa Talks Delay; Washington Reassures No Lebanon War Expansion
It has been decided to postpone the Lebanese-Israeli military meeting scheduled to be held under American auspices until after the Israeli Knesset elections and the US midterm elections, in order to prevent escalating tensions and to support regional stability. The meeting did not achieve any tangible progress, as Lebanon was not officially informed of its date, and political talks are ongoing to stabilize the situation in the south and prevent Israeli escalation. President Aoun reaffirmed Lebanon's commitment to negotiations as a means to end the tension and explained that the government is working to de-escalate, while investigations continue into the explosive shipment linked to Hezbollah.
