Kats Plans Evacuation as Netanyahu Targets Iran
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz issued strict warnings against Lebanon and Hezbollah, warning that any Hezbollah involvement with Iran in an attack on Israel would result in fierce strikes, including the pre-emptive evacuation of southern Beirut. He affirmed that the Israeli army is prepared to take control of additional areas in Lebanon if Hezbollah intervenes, and that Israel will not retreat from the security zones in Syria and Lebanon. On another note, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned of Iran's dangers, stating that its agents are seeking to launch rockets and carry out aggressive operations. He also opposed Israel conducting a preemptive strike on Tehran before the elections, despite Israel's intent to eliminate Hamas and Hezbollah, and to overthrow Iran within the next two years.
