Berri: Lebanon Will Defend Sovereignty and Land
The head of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, emphasized that Lebanon will continue its efforts at all levels to defend its sovereign rights, safeguard its borders, and liberate every inch of its occupied land from Israel. During his meeting with the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations for Peacekeeping Operations, Berri underscored Lebanon's unified stance on the necessity of maintaining the presence and mission of UNIFIL, and working to extend the mandate of the UN peacekeeping forces in the south to ensure border monitoring and to correct the repeated Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty, especially amid ongoing threats and escalation by Israel.
