A Gulf country is planning to undertake a large development project in southern Lebanon. The implementation of this project is linked to the withdrawal of Israeli forces from towns along and north of the Litani River. This would occur after the region stabilizes and the displaced residents return, as the local population currently requires substantial aid to rebuild their lives following the destruction of their towns by the Israeli army. Confidential consultations have been conducted with Lebanese ambassadors and ministers. In addition, Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri has been informed, as part of a broader cooperation with other Gulf states to support southern Lebanon, in coordination with the Nohad Machnouk government.
