Israeli Air Force secures $1B aid from US
The Israeli Ministry of Defense has signed an agreement with the American Department of Defense to purchase 12 Apache AH-64E attack helicopters manufactured by Boeing, with a total value of approximately one billion dollars. The deal comes after repeated delays due to disagreements over funding sources, despite the Israeli government approving allocation of around one billion shekels for this purpose. Delivery of the helicopters is scheduled to begin early in the next decade, as part of a plan to upgrade the Israeli military's capabilities and strengthen its weaponry. The Israeli Defense Minister considers this a crucial step in developing military capabilities to face future security challenges.
