Sisi affirms Gulf security's role in Egypt
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi emphasized that the security of the Gulf states is an integral part of Egyptian national security. He reaffirmed Egypt's full support for its Gulf Arab brothers and its readiness to de-escalate tensions, secure shipping lanes, and restore stability in the region amid current regional tensions. He clarified that Egypt aims to achieve peace and stability in the area through Arab coordination, considering that Gulf security and its broader implications are part of Egypt's own security. Cairo is prepared to take all necessary measures to support these objectives. These remarks come amid increasing importance of regional cooperation to preserve maritime route security and freedom of navigation, with the goal of reducing tensions and restoring stability in the region.
