U.S. Considers Targeting Iran's Nuclear Sites
A report from CNN reveals that the U.S. military is preparing attack plans against Iran, which include the use of the "Mother of All Bombs" (GBU-43/B or MOAB) to target energy infrastructure and nuclear facilities, including the "Mount Fes" site. These plans come amid the possibility of strikes occurring before American forces withdraw from the Middle East, representing an escalation despite doubts about their effectiveness in achieving strategic objectives. Trump has issued orders to prepare these plans, continuing to threaten Iran with bombing aimed at preventing Tehran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, amid declining support for war and a lack of clear efforts to reach a diplomatic settlement.
