Iran considers the Mother of Bombs
The United States is considering the possibility of deploying the "Mother of All Bombs" (GBU-43/B) against Iranian targets of a nuclear or industrial nature, particularly the "Jebel al-Fas" facility, as part of military plans to address Iran's nuclear program. Although it is one of the most powerful conventional weapons, the effectiveness of this bomb in penetrating deep fortifications and mountains housing nuclear facilities remains questionable, as it is not specifically designed for such purposes. The use of this bomb carries significant risks, especially if targets are located near populated areas, since it cannot guarantee the destruction of underground nuclear sites hidden beneath rocks. The decision to use it is still under consideration and has not yet been made.
