U.S. 2-year Treasury yields fall to 4.69%
The article discusses the rise of U.S. 10-year Treasury bond yields to their highest level since January 2025 at 4.75%. Yields on 20- and 30-year bonds also reached their highest levels since 2002, with the 30-year at 3.78%. This occurred concurrently with a decline in 2-year bond yields to 4.69%. This increase in yields led to a rise in gold prices, amid expectations of increased oil supplies following the International Energy Agency's call for oil-producing countries to ramp up refining and supplies, especially for diesel.
