Hezbollah escalates stance on explosion truck threat
The article centered on the escalating tension between Hezbollah and the Lebanese state regarding the explosives shipment that was confiscated at the Dahr El Baidar checkpoint. Hezbollah officially declared that the shipment belongs to them and is used exclusively against Israel, and they threatened to confront the state if the truck and its cargo are not returned. The government and security agencies rejected the accusations and began investigations to uncover the circumstances of the case. This escalation is considered an unprecedented public confrontation since the start of the war, viewed as an attempt by the party to assert its control and to refuse to acknowledge the authority of the state. There are growing fears that the issue could become a flashpoint inside the country, amid external and internal pressures to resolve the matter.
