Zelensky Requests Europe Defense Support
The article focused on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to Brussels to bolster European Union support for Ukraine in its war against Russia, amid criticism from U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the need for stronger European military backing. Zelensky emphasized the urgent need to supply his country with interceptor missiles and ammunition to counter Russian escalation, warning that Russia has launched around 1,000 drones since the beginning of the attack. He expressed Kyiv's desire to continue increasing pressure on Moscow, while European leaders called for effective defensive measures. Ukraine, meanwhile, faces restrictions on the use of military satellite services and has stressed that the absence of alerts from its allies during Russian strikes hampers its defenses. The meetings included discussions on military cooperation and technical support, with some criticizing technical limitations and Kyiv accusing intentional disruptions to its satellite system as a means to hinder their operations.
