Omar Harfoush and Photographer Blackmail
The article concerns the conflict between Omar Harfoush and the French-Syrian photographer and journalist Ammar Abdur-Rebba. Harfoush continues to accuse him of extortion by publishing articles containing harsh allegations, despite there being no French court ruling confirming such claims. A session record from Paris revealed that a settlement agreement between them in 2023 included the payment of 40,000 euros in exchange for deleting posts and refraining from defamation for 20 years. However, this was not a court trial, and the allegations were not legally proven. Harfoush uses these articles to defame Abdur-Rebba, who himself faces prior legal charges in France for defamation. Abdur-Rebba plans to reveal the full details of the case through the media. The article highlights the escalation of the campaign against Abdur-Rebba and attempts to pressure him legally and media-wise.
