What led to Baaty Zakaria's short tenure
The article clarifies that Katie Zakaria, the White House spokesperson, was dismissed after just one week of her appointment due to a lack of support from U.S. President Donald Trump. Trump had previously advised her to leave her position because of the pressure and media criticism she faced. Zakaria faced criticism regarding her professional qualifications, especially since she had not passed the California Bar exam nor obtained a license to practice law, despite presenting herself as a lawyer. She was also criticized following a limited-response press conference, during which her slips of the tongue sparked controversy, increasing the pressure on her before she ended her tenure in the position just days after her appointment. The White House defended her before Trump’s statements, but her eventual successor remains uncertain at this time.
