Nassar highlights explosives' threat to national security
Justice Minister Adel Nassar emphasized that the presence of large quantities of illegal explosives outside of Lebanon poses a serious threat to national security and justifies resorting to the Court of Appeal to address the issue. He confirmed that investigations are ongoing with bravery and professionalism, and that the process of transporting and storing these explosives poses a risk to society and the security of the state, especially since some of them are linked to Hezbollah. The magnitude of the risks calls for firm decisions to protect Lebanon. He pointed out that the government has agreed to keep authority in the hands of the state and to prevent illegal arms possession, and that the continuation of the investigations aims to ensure the safety of the Lebanese people and the country.
