Lebanese Earth Movement Criticizes Finance Office
The Lebanese Earth Movement, led by Talal Al-Duwaihi, condemned the statement issued by the Office of Finance Minister Yassine Jaber, considering that shifting from denying a real estate rumor to accusing the movement of inciting sectarianism diverts attention from the core issue. The movement emphasized the importance of protecting Lebanese land and the necessity of transparency regarding ownership and property matters, asserting that real estate files are decided based on official documents and records. It also stressed that their defense of the land is linked to national identity and not any sectarian targeting. The movement called for addressing the issue with facts and supporting evidence, while intensifying the commitment to safeguarding the land — which they regard as a national trust that admits no compromise.
