Netanyahu criticizes Lebanon, vows to end Hezbollah
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu predicted that winning the upcoming general elections scheduled for October 27, 2026, would be difficult due to his declining popularity caused by corruption issues he faces. He described the situation as pivotal for his political future. He also warned that a victory for an opposition government led by Gadi Eizenkot could result in the reversal of his current government's achievements, including concessions on the Iranian nuclear deal and the establishment of a Palestinian state. Nonetheless, he expressed confidence in ultimately dismantling Hezbollah, despite his doubts about the Lebanese government's efforts to disarm the group.
